Friday morning’s M4.2 Hector Mines quake was reported felt in San
Bernardino, Joshua Tree, Yucca Valley, Desert Hot Springs, and Indio.

We recorded a couple of M3+ Baja quakes over the weekend: a M3.4 at
6:58 am on Sunday, 40 miles south of Calexico; and a M3.1 at 4:32 pm
Sunday, located 72 miles south-southwest of Ocotillo.

The only quake that was reported felt over the weekend, however, was
a M1.9 at 3:53 the morning. The epicenter was 2 miles northwest of
Culver City. The “felt reports” came from Los Angeles, Culver City,
and West Los Angeles.

Just after midnight, at 12:02 am, this morning, there was a M4.2
located 16 miles south-southwest of Ludlow, or 27 miles north of
Joshua Tree. Even though the focal mechanism appears to be oblique
normal, it is probably a Hector Mines aftershock. So far, no-one has
reported feeling it.
