Commentary
Yesterday evening at 6:47 pm, there was a M3.3 aftershock of the M4.8 Baja quake. The epicenter occurred 35 miles south-southwest of Calexico. This quake has not been reported felt in the U.S.
Note that the Northern California Seismic Network (U.S.G.S. at Menlo Park & U.C. Berkeley) report a M3.5 quake at 9:58 pm in the Mammoth area, 7 miles east-southeast of Tom’s Place. That quake was felt in the epicentral area.

The second one occurred yesterday morning, at 9:49 am, 8 miles northeast of Indio. Magnitude was M3.1. It was felt in Palm Desert & La Quinta.
The third one was this morning, at 5:19 am, near the southeastern end of the San Andreas fault, 3 miles southeast of Bombay Beach. Its magnitude was M3.3.
We have no “felt reports” on the Hector Mines or Bombay Beach quakes.
Commentary
There was another quake in northern Baja (Mexico) early this afternoon, at 1:03 pm. It was a M4.2 that was located 26 miles southeast of Calexico. Note that this is an entirely different location than the M4.8 on Tuesday. For this reason, the two M4+ quakes are likely to be unrelated. Today’s quake was felt in the El Centro & Mexicali areas.
