A M3.3 quake was felt in the Borrego Springs area at 7:38 pm last night. The epicenter was located 4 miles south-southeast of Ocotillo Wells, in the San Jacinto fault zone.

Commentary
Another quake occurred early this morning around San Clement Island. The time was 12:37 am & the magnitude was 3.1. The epicenter was 44 miles southeast of San Clemente Island, or about 50 miles southwest of La Jolla. It was almost certainly not felt by anybody.

There was a small quake felt in the South Bay at 2:25 pm this afternoon. The magnitude was M2.5 & the epicenter was located 2 miles south of LAX. It was felt in El Segundo, Venice, Redondo, Hermosa & Manhattan Beaches, probably other locations as well.

Commentary
The largest quake so far this weekend was a M3.2 at 4:50 pm on Saturday, located in the Little San Bernardino Mtns. 9 miles northeast of Indio. It was the largest of a swarm of about 20 members. It has not so far been reported felt.
A smaller quake (M2.0) was felt in Orange County, at 7:32 pm Saturday. It was located 3 miles south of Fountain Valley, or 4 miles north of Newport Beach. It was felt in Fountain Valley, Costa Mesa, Newport Beach & Huntington Beach.
Another small quake (M2.2) at 7:15 am this morning, was felt in the Julian & Ramona areas. The epicenter was located 4 miles north of Julian.

The Obsidian Butte swarm continued late yesterday. The largest event was a M3.2 at 4:36 pm, located 2 miles northeast of Obsidian Butte. There were several smaller swarm members around that time.

Late yesterday evening, there was a M2.4 aftershock of Monday’s M3.1 Compton quake. The location was 1 mile northeast of Compton. We have reports that it was felt in Downey, South Gate, Lakewood, Bellflower, etc.

A small quake (M2.9) occurred this morning in the Death Valley region, 5 miles northwest of Stovepipe Wells. The time was 9:19 am. This quake has not been reported felt, probably due to its remote location.
