At 9:00 am this morning, there was a M3.1 Hector Mines aftershock in a remote area 11 miles northwest of Ludlow, in the Mojave Desert. We do not have any “felt reports” on it, probably due to its remote location.

There was also a ML2.5 this morning at 9:07 am, located in northeast Pasadena, near the border with Sierra Madre. We have some reports that the quake was felt in Pasadena, Altadena, La Canada & Monterey Park.

There was a M3.1 earthquake at 11:34 pm last night, located 16 miles west-southwest of Simmler. We don’t have any “felt reports”, probably due to the remote location of the quake.

We had a M3.0 earthquake this morning at 5:00 am, 9 miles west of Tehachapi. The quake was felt in Tehachapi and Caliente.

There were also several felt reports for what appears to be a sonic boom in the Los Angeles area, at 10:32 am this morning. We have reports from as far west as Ventura, as far north as Simi Valley, and as far south as Long Beach.

Very early yesterday (New Years) morning, there was a ML3.2 quake in the Ridgecrest area. The time was 1:00 am & the epicenter was located 5 miles east of Ridgecrest. Perhaps residents were still partying too hard to feel it.
