A ML2.7 quake was felt this morning in the West Hollywood & Beverly Hills areas. It occurred at 9:07 am & was located about 1 mile east-northeast of West Hollywood. People have reported feeling it in West Hollywood, Culver City & surrounding parts of Los Angeles.

The Lucerne Valley area was lightly shaken by a ML3.8 quake this afternoon, at 2:41 pm. The epicenter was located 7 miles south-southeast of Lucerne Valley, or 7 miles north of Big Bear Lake. It was reported felt in Lucern Valley, Big Bear City, Redlands, Riverside, San Bernardino, Apple Valley, and so forth. There was a ML2.5 aftershock at 2:59 pm.

At 8:53 pm last night, a small quake was felt in the northern San Fernando Valley area (most reports from Newhall, Northridge, Granada Hills & Valencia). The quake was located 4 miles southeast of Newhall & the magnitude was ML2.8.

At 2:49 pm this afternoon, there was a small quake (ML2.9) 4 miles east-southeast of Yorba Linda. Most “felt reports” came from Anaheim, Orange, Placentia & Yorba Linda.

Yesterday evening at 7:16 pm, there was ML2.6 quake 4 miles south of Palomar Observatory (or 6 miles northwest of Lake Henshaw). We did get some “felt reports”, mostly from Valley Center & Escondido, but also Fallbrook, San Marcos & Alpine.

A ML3.2 quake Anza qas felt last night. The time was 7:12 pm & the epicenter was located 10 miles east-southeast of Anza (or 22 miles south of Palm Springs). We got a few reports that it was felt in the Palm Springs/La Quinta areas.

There was also a smal quake felt this morning in the Huntington Beach area. It was a ML2.4 at 7:10 am, located 2 miles west-southwest of Newport Beach.

A small quake was felt on Friday night in the Ojai & Ventura areas. It was a ML3.3, at 10:05 pm, located 7 miles east of Ojai. Earthquakes in that area are commonly a little deeper than they are in most areas of California. This one had a depth of 27 km. It was felt fairly widely in the Ventura, Ojai, Newbury Park & Thousand Oaks areas, with a few reports from as far as Malibu, Gorman & Santa Barbara.
