At 11:13 am today, there was a small quake, ML3.2, located in the Tehachapi Mtns., 15 miles north-northwest of Tehachapi. The focal mechanism is strike-slip. There have been a couple of felt reports.

Late this afternoon (4:07 pm), there was aa ML3.4 quake offshore, 4 miles west of Manhattan Beach. Felt reports are coming from as far as Newbury Park & Palos Verdes.

A small cluster of earthquakes was centered yesterday & overnight, about 7 miles east-northeast of Borrego Springs. The largest was a ML3.7 at 12:55 am. This event was felt in the Borrego Springs area.

About 23 minutes after noon we had a ML3.6 earthquake 6 miles (10 km) west-northwest of Valencia. It was felt lightly (Modified Mercalli III) in the epicentral area of Santa Clarita Valley. It was felt as north as Frazier Park and as south as El Segundo.

We had a M3.5 quake today, located 4 miles south from the Mt. Palomar Observatory. This event was felt widely throughout San Deigo county, from Boulevard to the south, to San Clemente and Hemet to the north. If you felt this event, and would like to report it, click here.
