Education & Outreach

Education is an important way for SCSN to connect with the community, teach about earthquake safety, and help the public better understand how earthquakes occur. Outreach to media outlets and large consumers of SCSN products is accomplished through the Earthquake Research Affiliates (ERA), which is a non-profit agency created by Caltech created to link the scientists to the public. Click Here to learn more about ERA.

The further pages in this section provide some educational materials and tools as well as information on outreach activities available through the Caltech Seismological Laboratory.
